Notice of Data Security Incident

 

We understand that this incident may have posed an inconvenience to you. We sincerely apologize and regret that this situation has occurred. Shura, Inc. is committed to providing quality care, including protecting your personal information, and we want to assure you that we have policies and procedures to protect your privacy.

 

What happened

Shura concluded its investigation of an intrusion into its IT network on or about May 2, 2023, and determined that the incident resulted in unauthorized access to IT systems. Shura immediately began working with third-party specialists to understand the nature and scope of the activity. In addition, Shura promptly launched an investigation and notified law enforcement.

 

What information was involved

The investigation determined that Shura was the victim of a sophisticated cybersecurity attack and unauthorized parties gained access to Shura’s IT network. This incident potentially involved sensitive personal information such as your name, address, phone number, Social Security number, and driver’s license number.

 

What is Shura doing

Shura immediately worked with cybersecurity specialists to secure their environment and implement additional security measures designed to prevent the recurrence of a similar incident. Shura will continue to take steps to further enhance the security of their systems.

 

What you can do

Those who may have been affected will receive a notification from Experian. In addition, affected individuals can obtain information from the sources listed below about steps they can take to avoid identity theft. Shura encourages affected individuals to remain vigilant by reviewing their account statements and credit reports.
